A Day in the Life

A Good Day

This weekend I ran into one of our regulars.

He told me that he has been drug free for 6 months now and that he was about to move into an apartment this week after 2+ years of living on the streets.

We may have had nothing to do with him finding a home, or in his decision to get sober but I can say with certainty that the food, harm reduction supplies and winter gear that we provided him helped to keep him going as he got himself to where he is at today.

This is why we do it. Through all the chaos and stress of planning our outreach dates, this is why we do it. -Julia
